We made our way down the 5 freeway on Saturday am. Thursday-Friday we were out of state. I have a husband that supports all my dreams and desires {within reason}. Sometimes {most of the time} I double book events and parties....This past weekend was one of those.

A great friend of ours knows my passion for fashion and invited us to attend the 1st night of fashion week. He just so happens to work for my all time favorite... the house of CHANEL. Chayne wears many hats in the industry and it was a great treat to be a part of a great night. After the show I had the pleasure of meeting the designers and looking at the pieces individually. With a full house and much press it was an honor to have him focus on us.

While I dream about attending fashion week in Paris, Chayne sat closely to the runway. Even though I have not it's great to get details shmetails of the IT & the NOW of Paris. On our way to Sunset Ave. his car jams were what played a couple days before for fashion week in Paris. Chanel had the song IN FOR THE KILL by LA ROUX. It literally ROCKS!! How appropriate is the name for a fashion show?! I think so. The song came out in March of 09'.

It just tickles my ear fancy to the 3rd degree. Check it out!

Karl Lagerfeld designed this dress just for the one and only Lily Allen. Oh my what a dream. She looks stunning, to say the least. This was for the 2010 Chanel Fashion show in Paris..in which she performed at. Woooooow!!!

My bestie said "i do" in early August.... I was her matron of honor {that makes you sound ollld} & hair stylist. The wedding was so them, Outside by the lake near huge Pine trees. Nature was a main attraction, less was more...and that was just the way she wanted it.

OMG.

Note: The article below was not written by me. Barbies 50th Birthday was in February... BUT if you have not seen this..you have to now. As a kid I never owned a Barbie, it seems as though all the years of being anti girlllly.... I'm just simply making up for it now! I wear pink now.

Barbie celebrated her 50^th birthday with a real 3,500-square-foot Malibu Dream House decorated by Jonathan Adler, complete with a pink carpet entrance. This coming Monday I will be teaming up with a group of photographers from the Bay Area to style a concept shoot. We have models ready to work the camera... I can't give details schmetails But I will post some pictures once I get the {ok} from photographers. I'm thrilled and I can't wait to see the final results. The initial set up was by {abi q} a Bay Area photographer.

I look forward to shooting in the beautiful famous city of Sausalito.

Have always loved pulled back hair do's [when done properly].

I suggest that when you pull it back pair it with a great lip color. Makeup is a must. I have seen this done with out makeup ohhh so many times and it's yucky. I love it when it's the IT thing to do and it's easy.

I'm incorporating a lot of new things at work. As I was editing the schedule for the month of September today I realized what was around the corner...FALL! It's definely one of my favorite times of the year. I know I mentioned before that Summer needed to last BUT due to the craziness of it going from 150 degrees to 50 I rather it just stay PUT. So after doing all my things this evening I decided to post some pictures of things I love about the fall. Here it goes.

The days are long.

Time somehow keeps slipping.

STOP & think. What are we or shall I say {I} DO to continue to run after what I want. I don't want to settle I have NOT settled but I need to keep running and keep my focus clear. I ask myself questions like...

My fear. Regrets! I don't want any.

It's hard to sleep....I don't like that one bit. I would like to be that woman that rises early and is a jump skip away from the gym to take a "run". Who are they? What do they eat? and I need friends like that! Okay I have a few but I still don't know the SeCrEt.

I need to start getting up early to hit the gym because the whole "I'll do it tonight" is a LIE yes I said it.... LIE. I confess I say that way tooo much knowing in my gut that I'm so not doing that.

But allow me to give you a scenario, I leave for work around 9am so get up around 8am I come home at all different hours but lately after 8 then after.... I have to run errands time....so like tonight I went to Trader Joe's {love that place} so I came home at 9ish.

Catch my flow? Were does time go? I would like more hours in my day. Thank you much! So now I'm hittin my pillow and attempting to shhh-n-ozzzzz away in la la land.

I'm just not ready to say bye. The Summer seems to have come and gone before I got to say hello. I know I might sound like a spoiled brat due to several vacations taken BUT they have all been busy vacations. I'm ready for a "real" vacation. I'm ready for EUROPE. I'm ready for New York with my hubby. I might be going to NY for work in October and it has tickled my fancy. = )

I Recently re decorated the office that I work at...Here is a snippet of what I have purchased to spruce it up. It's wonderful because all of the staff is loving the changes made in the office. This sweet bride needed HELP.

I'm not a florist but when I heard through the grapevine that she was considering NO flowers due to a tight budget, I just could not.would not rest until I convinced her that no matter the budget it could be done! I remembered the steps I took with my florist and decided I would do the same with her. We scheduled an early morning trip to the flower mart in San Francisco & that was a glorious moment, we got in and got out in less than an 1 1/2 and picked all the flowers. I think they came out great! When she saw them she cried....I'm guessing that is a great sign ; 0

We finally did it. I stuck to my guns..I walked tall & strong onto that lot with a face that showed little to none of what I felt inside {excitement}. I did not want to get all wooo hooo before I saw $$$$ signs, We had a plan and goal...Ya see Jason's kind and patient he know's what he wants and waits and it was time.

We needed/wanted a car, a fun car. A car we can drive to Napa in with the windows down while we blast our music...A car we felt was "us" unique.fun.fast.economical. & you get it..

I negotiated and we did it. J & I got a snazzy mini!

Third times a charm! Tonight J and I will be going to the NO DOUBT concert...I just can't wait. I will post pictures later till then wish me luck that I get my LAMB bag autographed.. I just might pass out... I work with artists all the time and I'm never "star struck" BUT if I saw Gwen it would probably make me a bit "unprofessional". I have been a die hard fan...From her early days of No Doubt to her solo career I have loved it all.

After J and I said I do we walked down the aisle to this song..YES it's a bit ironic but it's Gwen and it makes me smile...If you knew me you would understand. ; 0

My 25th Birthday was yesterday...feelin old!

Turning 25 is a huge deal for us Mexicans, with that said this was thee biggest birthday celebration yet. It all began on Friday night and made it's way to Sunday. My family and I went to eat Afghan food. MMMMM good. If you have not had any before YOUR missing out! It's so delicious.

Husband bought me the new iphone.

Most important of all it was spending time with my family and really feeling loved.

They all made sure that this past weekend was special.

I want to pinch myself because I get so overwhelmed with Blessings.

Sleeping. No clue as to why BUT I feel like I'm 80 pounds overweight and I'm always tired. If you know me....You know being tired is a pet peeve of mine! It's taking every fiber in my being to get up before 8:30am and working out sounds like walking through Egypt during the hottest hour of the day { no camel ride either}. With this said/typed I plan on doing something about it! I'm going to Whole Foods this weekend and buying a cleansing thingy. I think my body needs a break. I need to start over and get energy through my foods instead of praying that my triple shot drinks from Peet's do the trick. ENOUGH I say. I need to gain control over this. Do you ever feel in a slump? I feel that way....It's hard and this Summer requires me to be on my toes with everything that needs to be done. I share this with you my friends because just in case you feel the same as me I suggest you gain control of your health and emotions.

Pray and eat right! My mother is 4o something {can't say} and she looks and feels great. Sharing with her this morning made me just feel better. Mi madre reads everything about everything....What foods give you the best nutritional value...Blah blah I know that she could have been an AMAZING doctor/ health specialist. I'm proud of all the knowledge she has and hope that some will rub off on me : )

I used to make so much fun of all the pills she took for this and that. Dang now I'm taking notes...I'm approaching 25 this month and they say it all goes Downnnn hills well this girls going to start running the other way and Upppp the hill!

Alternative medicine is what she recommends... now a days you go in with this and that to a doctors office and what they end up prescribing makes matters WORSE.

Next week I will keep you all posted on what I learn as I change some habits.

So party time might have started for you already BUT I don't think it's too late to make a savory drink that will keep friends and family begging for more! Sangria is a beverage we make for special events, my family made it for my bridal shower my aunt had it for all 3 baby showers it's the drink that crashes our parties. I thought about you today as I began to think about what I looked forward to drinking and eating {just thinking made me salivate} yeah totally just said that. Now you know my Latina secretos {secret}.

Feliz 4th amigos.

The Spaniards introduced Sangria to the US for the first time at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. They served the fruity wine punch to visitors and history was made! The perfect pour for hot summer nights and lazy weekend afternoons, Sangria was an instant palate pleaser.

Recipes typically mix wine, brandy, citrus soda and fresh fruits, but sangria is one of the most individualistic drinks you can make. Combine your favorite red wine and fruits and make your own signature Sangria! Just make sure to give all the flavors time to develop and chill sangria overnight. You'll need some basic tools to correctly serve the sangria as well such as a pitcher, wooden spoon, large wine glasses. Here are some sure fire delicious recipes for a kicked up version of traditional red sangria as well as a lighter brighter white sangria:

Sangria Sabrosa:

Originally created in Rioja, the light and fruit-forward classic Rioja Tempranillo from Campo Viejo Crianza ($9.99) is the perfect wine for this kicky take on the traditional sangria recipe.

1 bottle Campo Viejo Crianza 2005
¼ cup Triple Sec
1 tsp brown sugar
1 bunch fresh basil
Juice of 2 fresh squeezed oranges
Juice of 2 fresh squeezed lemons
Juice of 2 fresh squeezed limes
6 sliced cherries
2 cans of ginger ale
1 orange sliced
1 tray ice cubes

Steps:
1. Muddle basil, sugar and triple sec in a pitcher.
2. Add the bottle of Campo Viejo Crianza and triple sec.
3. Stir in juices and brown sugar with the wooden spoon.
4. Add cherries and stir. Chill over night.
5. Add ginger ale, ice cubes and fresh fruit slices the next day 15 minutes prior to serving.

Sangringa:
(White Wine Sangria)

If you find yourself more in the mood for the lighter Sangringa, try the floral Griffigna Pinot Grigio ($12).

1 bottle of Graffigna Pinot Grigio
1/4 cup triple sec
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
2 oranges cubed
2 apples cubed
6 cinnamon sticks
Crushed ice
Mint leaves
1 can sparkling water

Steps:
1. Pour the bottle of Graffigna Pinot Grigio and triple sec into a ceramic pitcher.
2. Stir in the sugar and juice.
3. Add fruit and cinnamon sticks and stir again. Chill over night.
4. Add the soda, ice cubes and fresh mint leaves the next day 15 minutes prior to serving.

Update: My husband and I did not get the house we placed an offer on...It could be a bit devastating but we are not letting that affect us instead we are looking on the bright side! We have not even been married 2 years and have a lot going for us, our time will come. This is a great thing and there can't be another way to look at it. We prayed asked God and He decided it was not the right time.

Now we are living a debt free life that we worked SO hard to get at and now it's all about saving.saving.saving. and having fun!!

We are thinking we shall try again in 6 months to a year.

Gezzz talk about..When life gives you lemons. LOL I'm becoming an expert at making lemonade!!! : )

I spent all morning & all day in Seattle being a tourist. I even squeezed in a hair cut at the hippest salon! Yesterday was beautiful in all aspects. Bragging time......bought the sickest dress that has the NY subway map on it!! Ohh yeah. : )

When things just don't seem easy.

They probably are not!

These last weeks have seemed rough.

BUT despite it all I have had a blast.

My travels have been great and I have been having a blast...

However.

My grandfather Luis passed away last week.

I was working in Vegas and headed straight for some girl fun after our show to get my mind of things.....

Next month I will be in Guadalajara to be with my abuelita.

Sometimes you just need to look up.

Thank God for what you have and who you have in your life.

Laugh. smile. & breathe.

I'm doing just that.

On Saturday I will be home and I just can't wait. I will have to do all that "boring" stuff like laundry & such so I can really relax. I'm not one to have piles around my house.

Yeahh I'm a bit on the ocd side. : O

So much is going on in my life it's go. go. go. BUT I'm not and will not complain because taking things sloooow is also scary for me. I confess I like busy. I like To-Do lists. Since I have not been home for a month my list is at 28 Ohh yeah!

I went Cherry picking this morning out in the Country! I love the Country....

the smell.the roads.the old. the peace. It feels like home. It's so close to my home that I'm going to make it a trip more often. It's a shame I don't go more frequently. My beautiful friend Lydia invited me on the adventure, THANK you Lyds! Just look at the yuminess. I want to make a cherry dessert BUT I head out tomorrow early am sooo with that said. No dessert.

These Phones are what I'm wanting in the house...BUT the huzzz does not think we need a land line. His argument is EVERYONE uses there cell phones. I really tried. hard. I wanted it to "work". I'm talking about the Boy cut jeans. I'm 5' 4" and these suckers looked horrid on me. I won't lie I was disappointed. The fit is not only adorable but comfortable. I had to pass them up no matter how badly I wanted them. I was not going to share this with you, but I decided to do so because some of you might feel the same way. It's hard to say no to trendy items BUT I'm telling you it's important to stick with what works for you. Trends come and go but those classic items are forever.

IF they do work for you I'm so stinken jealous but in a good way! Pair it with a cute flat or strapy sandals. American Eagle has a great pair in dark & light denim. $49.00 I think.

Today we have spent the day in Sacramento...Further testing is being done on the huzz man. He feels so much better and has gained a bit of weight back. He looks gooood : ) It finally looks like we are seeing some clear direction. I will let you all know soon what they conclude or don't after all the testing is done. This last stop is Davis Medical Hospital{the extension}...Thanks to an amazing man at our church who overheard me fill someone in about Jason he stepped in right away and offered to help! It has all been so frustrating we have spent days and hours at the hospital and go home with nothing..no direction and no conclusion.

This time around I decided to not stop seeking answers. The man from our church gets medical doctors together and reviews your test exams prays and meets with the rest to see what should be the next step. So that's why we are here....Immediately after meeting with them on Sunday he kept J's results & contacted me at 7 am on Monday morning. By Wednesday {today} he had already made an appointment for us. I have been deeply moved by this man's support and help. God has again lead me to see that there is wonderful people that call themselves Christian! It's tough to see that these days.....Nobody is perfect, I know.

My heart is filled with gratitude. On the phone I said Thank you for all you are doing...He replied I'm your brother in Christ this is what we do...WOW!

I have been asking myself this question lately....How do I show Jesus to others? Ya see it does us no good to sit in church raise our hands and walk out and be rude or unkind. forgiveness is something I struggle with. "Faking" it is something I can't do. Where do we draw a line?...I'm transparent what you see is what you get. This is too a flaw.

These days I'm trying to be approachable and confrontational instead of being hurt with someone or unkind...I ask. No more assuming that leads to bad thoughts and back talking. It's straight up. Life is tooo short to deal with these issues.

I have no idea why I got into that. Totally not the point to this post it was meant to be light hearted. Oh well.

If you are a Christian {not just call yourself one} I challenge you to smile at others you don't know. WOMAN you especially...I notice at any place most woman give others a stair down before you can smile. UMMM no don't do that. Be confident in who you are. Trust me it's obvious when you are not!
